About

Unearned Wisdom

Unearned Wisdom is a project dedicated to exploring the ideas that shape how we think, decide, and understand ourselves. It started as a personal reading journal and grew into something much larger — a library of essays, book summaries, and original books that attempt to make complex ideas accessible without dumbing them down.

The name comes from a simple observation: the most valuable insights are often those we acquire without having to learn them the hard way. A well-written book can compress decades of someone else's experience into a few hours of reading. A clear essay can reframe a problem you've been struggling with for years.

The articles here cover psychology, philosophy, decision-making, and the hidden patterns behind human behavior. The book summaries distill hundreds of nonfiction works into their essential ideas. And the original books tackle subjects like deception, self-knowledge, and the limits of conventional wisdom.

This is not a self-help site. It's a thinking site. The goal isn't to tell you what to do — it's to give you better tools for figuring that out yourself.
